About the Role

Livepeer is looking to add a Chief of Staff to the team to work closely with the CEO and lead up the cross-functional operations of the project, which range from the community focused and open source blockchain side, through to the commercial aspects of the video streaming product built on top of the Livepeer network. You will take a hands on approach to deeply understanding the nuances of each area of the business in order to flexibly generate effective operational designs across multiple stakeholders. You will need to iterate well with an eye toward the goals, and you will need to make thoughtful tradeoffs between delivering today and building for tomorrow.

Areas that you will gain experience with include crypto exchange and liquidity strategy and execution, community marketing, BD and partnerships, and operating at the interlock between product, engineering, and commercial in the video streaming industry. You will do all of this in a technically heavy, fast paced startup environment, with a direct path towards personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO and cross-functional team leads to deeply understand the business, generate operational designs, and ensure their successful execution.
• Build out specific functions within the organization and recruit resources necessary to fill gaps.
• Participate in the strategic process of identifying goals, setting company OKRs.
• Own special projects as needed to help Livepeer achieve its OKRs, customer milestones, and capitalization requirements.
• Improve the team’s decision making speed and execution through organizational process.

Requirements

• Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
• High accountability.
• Experience and comfort in a highly technical environment or company.
• Ability to work across an organization in a self-starting way.
• Ability to ask the right questions of the right stakeholders to gather and synthesize information and identify gaps that need to be addressed.
• Ability to generate a strategic plan, communicate it, present it visually, and track it to completion.
• Startup operational experience, strategy consulting experience, or educational equivalent preferred.
• Likes working on a distributed team and collaborating with others through synchronous and asynchronous communication.
• Excitement to work in a fast moving, early stage startup, with frequent iteration.
• Nice to have: A deep interest in blockchain technology, the video streaming industry, or both.
